Pink Petals
I'm in the process of making some cards and matching scrapbook pages for a workshop I'm doing on Sat night. Here's one of the cards, but I haven't finished the scrap page yet. They're very "pretty and pink" and it's the first time I've used this set! I'M LOVING IT! Not sure why I haven't used it sooner! LOL I've used Polka Dots & Paisley and Polka Dots and Petals with Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose and Rose Red. The sets are from the current Mini which finished at the end of the month, so get in QUICK if you'd like them! LOL

Okay, so here's a new Christmas card I put together this weekend. It's using one of my fav Christmas sets - Peaceful Wishes. You may recognise it if you've attended a stamp a stack lately, it's similar to a couple of the cards we've done there....just changed the layout a bit. I LOVE this set! Very easy to use.

well what a busy week and it's half over already! Today I took my 4yo to her Kindy open day! She was really excited. Then we met my son's year 1 class as Alma Park Zoo for their excursion! What fun! Hot day, 60 kids and lots of smelly animals! LOL. The kids had a ball though.
And so I haven't really done anything new this week yet. I decorated a tin on Monday so here it is. It's decorated using the Petals and Paisly 12x12 papers in our current mini catalogue.

It's been a busy weekend! My sister in law rang last week and offered to take my son with her for a trip to Townsville to visit the in-laws, he was so excited to be able to visit Grandma and Grandad and hang out with some boys for the weekend! Having 3 sisters, he loves spending time with his cousins! So he flew off with them yesterday morning just before my DD (just turned 8) had her birthday party! I'm trying to get the house back in order today before my parents arrive for their birthday visit!
Anyway....
Thought I'd better post another card! Gotta keep up with it while I'm on a roll! LOL
Here's a baby card I made using the gorgeous set out of the mini!

Okay, so I'm trying to be a better blogger! LOL Had a huge weekend. One of my downlines, Karen, came to visit from Mackay. So we had to show her a good time! Took her to Ikea straight from the airport, then stamped Friday night. Sat we did the rounds of my local scrap shops before my workshop Sat afternoon, then we both stayed at my best friend's house for a night of stamping and Champagne!!! I found Bella's at my fav stamping shop!!!! So that's what I played with Sat night! (I know I committed stamping adultry)

OMG I knew I'd be hopeless in updating a blog but I just realised how long ago it was that I actually posted!LOL
Life's gotten rather hectic, especially the last couple of weeks, we've entered birthday season in our family. My dad had his big 50 party last weekend! and I've had my two youngest DD's turn 4 and 2, my DS turned 6 yesterday! And My eldest DD turns 8 in two weeks! We have a a big pirate party here tomorrow! (Had to be pirates so I could make invites out of my Ahoy Matey set!)
I am going to TRY to be better blogger and post here regularly! So here is a card to kick that off! It's made with the bauble from Hung Up on Holidays. It's a great set as you can do so much with it and it's not expensive! I'm having fun using it and will hopefully post more with it soon!
The card is probably inspired from somewhere, but I can't remember where, but I think the main concept is my own. Hope you like it!

Ribbons Galore!
Well I've just finished two ribbon clubs and I must say it was a bit more work than I expected! I have to cut up and share out 30 rolls of Stampin' Up! Grosgrain Ribbon. It was soooo pretty! The photo below isn't even half of it all, packaged up ready to be sent off! Anyway if you're interested in taking part in the next ribbon club, let me know!

I thought I'd post another crayon resist card. These photos aren't the best as I took them at the Brisbane Regionals. These are the cards I used to demonstrate the crayon resist technique in front of everyone who attended the Brisbane event. 4 of us Brisbane-ites were asked to do a demo for the day and I must say even though it was extreamly nerve racking, it was a complete blast as well! I didn't get out of it lightly though, as I was also asked to do a little talk in the afternoon about recruiting new demonstators! Now that I wasn't expecting! But again I got through it without fainting (not that I remembered to breath the whole time). Anyway here's some of the other cards I showed.
And here's a photo of me up there Demo'ing! LOL Didn't even know this photo was taken until I got home and found it on my camera! LOL

Brisbane Regionals
Yesterday Stampin' Up! held our Brisbane Regionals Training Day which was absolutely fantastic! Shannon and Cara came over from the US and showed us a wonderful day full of information and ideas! We got to meet Emma, the New Zealand area manager and the lovely Bernadette from our Sydney office came up for a visit too! As well we got to catch up with fellow Demonstrators which is always fun! Now we have to wait a whole 10 months until Convention!
Here's a card I made a couple of days ago using the Crayon Resist Technique and one of our Spectrum Pads. I thought it was rather bright, but I've had lots of people comment on it, It's not the best photo as I took it in a hurry!....so here it is...

Here's another card using Fishy Friends. I'm having so much fun using this set as I just love watercolouring with the watercolour paper! I've also used the slit punch to make the scallop edge. This card opens by untying the knot. I've also added some faux brads by punching some circles and covering them with Crystal Effects.

Well I made it to the Big 30 on the 25th. Went out for dinner with the family on Saturday night which was a blast! Thanks to the recommendation of Vicki Dean, we tried out The Steak and Crabhouse at the Belvedere at Woody Point which had an awesome playground and kids room which meant we had a great night and the kids had a ball too! Here's my Dh and me! I LOVE Cocktails!! LOL

Wow, What a weekend! I've just returned from our First Stampin' Up! Convention in Sydney! We had an amazing time! I couldn't begin to explain how fantastic it was. I got to meet members of my team I'd only spoken to over the phone and email which was one of the highlights of the weekend. And all of them were just so lovely! Here's our pic with Shelly who's the co-founder of Stampin' Up!

Well the house move is over and we've spent the weekend re-erecting the cubby house. I then decided as we hadn't gotten around to staining it yet, that I would do that! LOL It was a bigger job than I expected and I had to go back to Bunnings three times for more stain! But it's finished! Phew! Here's the end result!

New Stuff!
What a week! I was lucky enough to receive a delivery of some new items I ordered from the NEW 2007/08 Catty! And so I spent the rest of the evenings last week playing! I had a little launch party for my regular customers on Sunday and I had a ball! Here's some of the girls hard at work:
I'll take photos of the projects and post them over the next couple of days. This week is going to be mad. The house we bought settles on Friday and so on Saturday we start moving! Hopefully it'll all be over quickly and painlessly!
Must be off to bed, as it's far too late to be awake and the kids are back to school tomorrow! (and I have to get up and make lunches and do the mad dash to school again.

First card Uploaded!
Sunday, 18 March 2007
Let's Start at the Very Beginning.....
I've been meaning to start up a blog for months now, and just never seem to get around to it. So I thought I'd finally post something. For those of you who don't know me, my name is Kim and I am a mother of 4 and also a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Brisbane. I became a Demonstrator when Stampin' Up! opened here in Australia about 12 months ago and we've been having a fantastic time with it! My team of Demonstrators (The INKcredibles) are a fantastic bunch of girls. I made Manager at the beginning of last month and we're in the process of planning our trip to Sydney in May for the very first Australian Stampin' Up! Convention! I'm hoping to get back on here and post regularly and upload photos of my creations. My lasted being a card for my good friend Karen in Mackay who's birthday is today! (I'll upload it after I know Karen's received it).
So for now I'll sign off, hopefully not for too long.
