To My Friend.....

I've been playing with Pick a Petal a bit as I hadn't used it much. This card uses Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, Mellow Moss and Apricot Appeal. In addition to Pick a Petal, there is also Polka Dot Background and Basic Phrases sets used for this card..

Surfing Santa

This card I've been meaning to make since our catalogue came out in April. I thought this paper would go wonderfully with the Happy Christmas Mate set, although it isn't very "Christmassy" I think it's cute and fun! LOL

Happy Hello!

Well I've actually gotten some cards made in the last couple of days and thought I'd share one that is going out in the post today. The colours in this one are Cameo Coral, Old Olive and Summer Sun. I love this combo! There are a few stamp sets used here. Pick A Petal, It's All Good and Polkadot background!

I think it's rather cheery and hope it cheers up one particular friend of mine!

Sunday and Various pics!

Well to finish off here are some various pics and some from today when we all headed back home after such an amazing, fun time! Stampin' Up! were so generous with the trip, and everything was so well organised! I'm sure everyone who attended had a ball!
On our resort room doors!

Thursday night dinner at Vivo's!

Here's Makeesha and I. Makeesha is from WA and we are nearly twins! Her kids are the same ages as mine and we found we had heaps in common! We even both LOVE Chocolate! Imagine that!! LOL And I must say, Makeesha is the MOST lovliest person EVER!
Here's Keesh, again with Robyn at breakfast! Robyn is from Ipswich and again, an awesome person who I got to spent heaps of time with! She made the trip so much fun and her hubby is such a character! who
Here I am with Jayne and her friend Joanna! I hadn't had the pleasure of chatting to Jayne or Jo before the incentive trip, and how thrilled I was to be able to spend some time with them! What can I say? They're both such warm, friendly ladies and am looking foward to seeing them again at future events!!!
And here's Teresa and Karen! Yet another couple of ladies who I was so thrilled to spend time with! Didn't get to have a pic with Kelly too, so will have to chase you down at convention next year for a pic Kelly! LOL We really enjoyed talking with these ladies, and their husbands!
Robyn and I found a hot miner guy in Kuranda!
Here's Naomi and Julia! Had a couple of laughs with these "young ones"! what did Naomi say? What happends on tour, stays on tour! LOL

My darling husband and I on the bus to somewhere! LOL
Well I'm going to have to leave it there for tonight. I'm about to fall asleep! LOL May upload more photos over the next couple of days, but I'm sure there'll be many other demos out there with Incentive Trip pics to share as well!
Anyway I'm sure you know by now we've all had a ball and it just reinforced to us why Stampin' Up! is just so awesome! Want to join us???

Sat night.

On Saturday night, Stampin' Up! took us by bus up to the Cairns Wilderness Safari for Dinner - Next to lions!! It was amazing to see them so close, as we were only separated by a fence, and we literally had dinner next to it! We were greeted by this guy:
Here's a couple of pics of the lions!

Dinner:

It was such an enjoyable evening, but I must say my hubby and I were both completely tired when we finally arrived back at the resort.
I also thought I'd share with you some pics from the resort that Stampin' Up! arranged for us to stay at.
View from our room:
View from just in front of the restaurant. That's right, this is what we looked at when we had breakfast!!

Saturday.....

I think I forgot to mention that the fishing trip that my hubby was cancelled on Friday due to bad weather, so we thought we'd head out to Green Island as the weather was supposed to be better on Saturday!!! Yeah right! We were told it was going to be about 22 knots, but when we got out there it was 35 knots! Holy Cow! Now I'm not one to get sea sick, so I quite enjoyed the trip, my hubby even survived it, but many people weren't so lucky and although I won't name names, there were a few on board who didn't keep their breakfasts! Although it wasn't the best day to be snorkelling, we had fun. Here's my hubby looking over where we were able to snorkel...
and it was quickly time to head back to Cairns and we stuck to the back of the boat again!
A bit choppy wasn't it! LOL
That's Green Island in the distance....
I also forgot to mention that Stampin' Up! had set up a cool Prize wheel for us! We got a ticket to spin it each day with the hope of winning a little pressie!! Here's me spinning on Sat afternoon!
And thanks Robyn - a pic of me winning a pack of Rhinestone Brads from Krista who was one of the awesome US SU staffers who helped organised the trip! LOL

So after a rest back in the room after such a day of excitement, we all met up by the pool for a piccy in our bath robes that were our presents.....

And most Demonstrators will know who this is, that jumped in for a photo!! It's Aaron, our Australian Business Development Manager!!!
I think I'll end this very long post here for now, and come back a bit later with more photos and to tell you about Dinner on Sat night!

More of Friday!

Well we are home and thought I'd better share the rest of our trip! I may as well share a card that was on display at our make and take session. It's using a set called Ocean Commotion. Oh and the other big news I can share is that we WILL be getting the scallop edge punch (in the same mini catalogue) that we have all been drooling over from the US!!! YAY!
Anyway the make and takes were great and after that my hubby and I hired a car to take a drive around Cairns and visit some friends we have up there. Here's the little car we hired!
Friday night we had a night free to do whatever we liked, so I caught up with some of my Stampin' Up! team members that I have in Cairns which was great fun and then my hubby and I headed to the Cairns Casino for a bit of fun. We got back to the resort about 1am to find another pressie from Stampin' Up!!! It was a BEAUTIFUL, soft white bath robe with my initials embroided onto it! Soooooo exciting...wait till you see the pics! LOL

Friday.....well some of it!...

So Friday started with breakfast by the beach at the resort restaurant before we all met up do what demos do best! SWAP AND STAMP! Stampin' Up! planned some time that we could all swap our cards that we brought along and then we all got to stamp some cards (and a box) that they planned for us. Here's my swap....

And the BEST thing about the make and take session is that we got to play with (and keep) a BRAND NEW stamp set that will be in the Summer Mini (due out December) AND this stamp set is NEVER before seen in ANY Stampin' Up! market! YAY! I won't spoil the surprise yet though. But here was our table, busy making our projects!!!
Oh and did I mention that not only did we get to keep the stamp set, but we also got some ink pads AND a gorgeous Pumpkin Pie cooler bag! Soooooo cool! I will have to take a pic as I forgot! LOL
Anyway that's all from me as my 2 minutes of rest is up so I'm off to get ready for a BIG night that Stampin' Up! has planned for us! I can't believe how much fun and excitement we've had AND how generous Stampin' Up! have been! Shall be back soon (not today though) with more details of our trip! You should see what they gave us last night!! LOL

Incentive Trip - Thursday

Thursday was a BIG day for us all! Stampin' Up! took us all up to catch the Kuranda train! It was so much fun, not just admiring the awesome scenery along the way but also catching up with some fellow Demonstrators.
My husband and I were able to spend the train ride up chatting to Jayne Mercer and her friend Joanna (they were so much fun!), the lovely Makeesha and her hubby Rod as well as Robyne and her hubby Verne. - (Oh and check out the white shirt I'm wearing! That's the one we got as our pressie the night before from Stampin' Up!)

We then spent the day exploring Kuranda and the famous Markets there, before heading back to Cairns via the Sky Rail! Although a little nerve racking at times, the view was awesome and we were able to take a rainforest walk at one of the stops! Below is me, Liz & Robyn! I hadn't really met Liz before the trip and I totally love her now! Both the ladies were heaps of fun and we shared lots of laughs!!!

And so after an hour or two rest back at the resort, some of us met up for cocktails and dinner! Here's me, Naomi,Julia, Robyn and Liz all enjoying our Strawberry daiquiri's!
What an awesome day!

Incentive Trip - Day One....

Well it's been a BIG day. We made it to the airport without getting caught in traffic! Had a GREAT flight, and it was great to catch up with some of the other wonderful demonstrators I've had the pleasure to get to know over the last 2 years! Got to have a great chat to Robyn and her hubby during the flight and after checking into our rooms we headed up for lunch where Naomi and I shared our first bottle of Champers for the trip, here we are along with Julia!

It was then time for a nap! LOL Later we all met in the resort restaurant for a group dinner where I had the pleasure to meet some lovely new Demo friends, and my hubby got to meet his Friday fishing buddies (I think they are going to have a ball)

Next it was onto a group lawn bowls night! LAWN BOWLS? you ask! That's right! I'd never played before and it was actually quite fun! I was NOT at all any good at it - and I think my husband wasn't at all as good as he liked to think he was! LOL We were put into teams which were named after our colours! Our team was Bravo Burgundy and we had the pleasure of having Shelly and Sterling in our team! Our team did win against the Yo yo Yellows and we had a laugh and we came back to find a PRESSIE in our room!

It was a gorgeous hooded sweat shirt with the Incentive Trip emblem emroided onto it!
So now I'm off to finish my swaps that I didn't manage to complete!
Oh and where are the photos you may ask?? Well I thought I'd remembered everything! All except the cord to plug my camer into my laptop! LOL But I promise to upload photos tomorrow night after our trip up to Kuranda! LOL I'll find a way! LOL
